Description: 
  1. Accountable for Cost Estimation and Budgeting - Prepare detailed cost estimates and establish project budgets based on scope, drawings, and specifications to support PMT.
  2. Accountable for Cost Control and Monitoring - Track actual project costs against budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure cost efficiency.
  3. Accountable for Reporting and Forecasting - Develop regular cost reports weekly, monthly, projections, and forecasts to provide accurate financial insights to project managers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up cost engineering processes and tools.
  • Develop and maintain project CBS cost breakdown structure including budget owners.
  • Maintenance of project cost model (time phased).
  • Preparation of monthly cost reports.
  • Cost forecasting.
  • Forecast variances analysis.
  • Contingency management.
  • Change management control including (BT) budget transfers and (BV) budget variations.
  • Commitments control including changes.
  • Trending analysis
  • Collection of information to prepare project benchmarks.
  • Calculation of commitments, cost to complete, estimate to complete, accruals and actuals.

Requirements:

  • Ideally, 3-5+ years of cost engineering in oil and gas. Proven FPSO expertise is a plus.
  • Previous experience with international oil and gas operators is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, risk management, and change management.
  • Preferred experience in a mid-senior cost engineering role.
