Position Overview:
The BD Manager Americas is responsible for identifying, developing and securing new EPC business opportunities in America’s (North and South) oil and gas sector (such as FPSO, FLNG, Fixed Platform, Floating Production Unit and Onshore Modular plant etc.) and the continuous improvement of the business development and strategic development process.
This includes the development and implementation of tactical plans which achieve the strategic objectives of both the short and long-term business plan.
Acts as the key liaison between HO and clients (Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, BP and US players) to drive growth and strategic positioning in the Americas market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in America’s (North and South) oil and gas sector, focusing on offshore and onshore development project.
- Develop and maintaining strong client relationships (Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, US LNG Developer, and players) to identify client objectives, priorities and requirements and align HO capabilities as an innovative industry leader.
- Develop and implement market entry, growth and positioning strategies aligned with HO objective in Americas.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support negotiations of commercial terms and contracts, working closely with BD Americas to secure favorable outcomes.
- Represent the HO at conference and industry events in Americas to strengthen market presence and branding.
- Provide regular reports (weekly) for Americas oil and gas and major news to Head of BD Americas
- Provide reports to BD Americas on business pipeline status, market developments and opportunities and strategic actions.
- Coordination with BD/BA for bid and presentation preparation for the current tender project and new development projects for Oil major companies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5-10 years of business development experience in oil and gas sector, preferably with Americas market exposure
- Proven track record of developing and closing contract within America’s oil and gas market.
- Experience working with Oil major company (Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, TotalEnergies, Equinor and Chevron) and Local players or EPC contractors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of America’s oil and gas market including offshore and onshore development project
- Requires in-depth knowledge (technical, commercial and contract) of the Offshore especially FPSO and EPC project and process services in Americas.
- Excellent business development, negotiation, and deal-closing skills
- Strategic planning and market analysis capabilities
- Strong relationships with clients and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluent in English (If possible Korean as well but it is not mandatory)
