Position Overview

The Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer is responsible, under the guidance of a Principal/Lead Engineer, for the design and development of instrumentation systems for onshore plant projects. This role focuses on preparing engineering deliverables, supporting system integration, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. The position contributes to project execution by delivering reliable and efficient control and monitoring solutions aligned with overall plant design objectives.

The role supports reliable power, control, automation, and instrumentation solutions by coordinating design requirements, technical studies, system interfaces, and execution priorities across concept, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement support, and commissioning readiness. It is expected to maintain compliance with project standards and industry codes while ensuring that  Instrumentation and control system deliverables are integrated, safe, and operationally robust.

At this level, the role independently executes assigned activities, coordinates interfaces, and supports timely completion of deliverables while applying established procedures and professional judgment. The position is expected to contribute practical solutions, maintain document and data quality, and support continuous improvement through disciplined execution and active collaboration.

Basic knowledge of applicable local regulations, statutory requirements, and permitting requirements relevant to project locations.  Familiarity with DCS, ESD, FGS, and package control system integration.

Key Responsibility

• Develop instrumentation & Control (I&C) design deliverables and specifications
• Support system integration and multidisciplinary coordination
• Prepare datasheets, calculations, and technical documents
• Support procurement activities through technical bid evaluations, vendor clarifications, and equipment selection.
• Participate in design reviews and vendor coordination

Qualification

• 3-7 years of experience in instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering
• Experience in preparing engineering deliverables such as datasheets, instrument index, I/O list, control narratives, cause & effect diagrams, and technical specifications
• Basic knowledge of applicable local regulations, statutory requirements, and permitting considerations relevant to project execution.
• Ability to perform design tasks with limited supervision
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
