Position Overview:

The Engineering Applications 1D2D Administrator is responsible for setting up, management and monitoring of AVEVA Engineering and associated products. This role involves providing specialized application support services to develop and enhance data systems, in close collaboration with the Information Technology Department and the One Information System program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup, configure and manage AVEVA Engineering and associate products (*), including administration of the Dabacon database, schematic symbol libraries & templates.
  • Set-up AVEVA Engineering Data Model, DB Views, engineering list.
  • Development, management, and customization of datasheets tailored to meet specific client and project needs.
  • Configure and implement NextGen P&ID or AVEVA Diagrams/P&ID by creating backing sheets, symbol library, representation and formatting rules.
  • Analyze and map client data and document requirements to configure and optimize AVEVA Engineering environment.
  • Establish and configure the AVEVA Engineering environment to support seamless collaboration on complex, multi-location engineering projects in collaboration with the EIS team and other subcontractors.
  • Define, deliver and maintain key training materials and trainings sessions for 1D2D users.
  • Configuring the Compare and Update tool to facilitate the comparison of AVEVA Engineering data with data from other AVEVA applications or external systems.
  • Collaborate with EIS team to support the deployment and integration of engineering software solutions.
  • Collaborate with EIS team for troubleshooting any application issues.

(*) associated products means, engineering application software such as; AVEVA Global, AVEVA Spectrum, AVEVA NextGen P&ID, AVEVA Diagrams etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree with at least 6 years’ experience as AVEVA Administrator on successful projects in relevant industry sector; e.g. Oil and Gas, Marine & Offshore, or Chemicals. A lower educational level could be compensated by more than 8 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering within the Oil & Gas or Offshore industry including engineering system and tool usage, development and management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AVEVA Engineering and related AVEVA tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO15926, CIFHOS) related to engineering data management

Skills:

  • Possess knowledge and a strong understanding of data ownership principles within engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to write technical instructions in the use of AVEVA engineering applications software and/or develop small plugin applications with AVEVA PML / C# / Python language to meet project needs.
  • Travel occasionally to the company's various sites around the world for project’s needs.
  • Actively participate in the continued development of the application and its integration with other Engineering Design Systems.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
