Position Overview:
Lead and deliver process engineering design, development, and optimization for topside production facilities on FPSO/FLNG projects within an EPC environment, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
Support in developing corporate technical standards/procedures and keep them updated (incorporating Project Lesson Learns).
Assist HOD for managing a corporate organization and mentors Process Engineers .
Ensure technical validation and quality assurance
The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean Global engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore and elsewhere as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engineering & Design Leadership
- Lead FEED and detailed design for topside process systems, including separation, gas treatment, compression, dehydration, produced water, utilities, and flare systems.
- Develop and review Process Design Basis /Philosophies, PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, process datasheets, and equipment sizing.
- Perform and validate process simulations (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Flaresim) and hydraulic calculations.
- Ensure designs meet Classification Society rules, offshore standards, and project specifications.
2. Project Execution
- Define scope, deliverables, and schedules for process engineering work packages.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, piping, instrumentation, safety, structural, naval architecture).
- Provide technical input to procurement, vendor document reviews, and package integration.
- Support construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities with process expertise.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL and other safety reviews.
- Ensure designs comply with HSE regulations, environmental requirements, and company management systems.
- Contribute to operability and maintainability reviews.
4. Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing
- Guide and review work of junior engineers.
- Promote best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement in process engineering workflows
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (or equivalent).
- 10–15 years of process engineering experience, with at least 7 years in offshore topside design for FPSO/FLNG projects.
- Proven track record in EPC project execution.
- Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS, Flaresim, and familiarity with Pipesim
- Strong knowledge of offshore codes & standards (API, ISO, ASME, DNV, ABS).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
