Position Overview:
As a Project Engineer for FPSO topside design, you will be responsible for managing engineering activities related to the design, procurement, and execution phases of FPSO topside projects. You will ensure that engineering deliverables meet project timelines, specifications, and quality standards while working closely with both internal and external teams.
Furthermore, the Topside EPM will work in close cooperation with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that engineering work and deliverables are compliant with all project requirements, classification rules, design codes and industry standards as well as any relevant regulatory aspect.
The ideal candidate of the position will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry and have prior experience as a Project Engineer in FPSO projects and with prior experience in detailed engineering for offshore projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering Manager in the coordination and execution of topside design activities.
- Assist in the preparation of project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful integration of design and execution phases.
- Establish engineering schedule and manpower plan to ensure that the work is completed in accordance with the overall project schedule. Prepare and issue regular progress reports including actual progress achieved vs. original plan.
- Record Interface Register and monitor and report area of concerns and close - out status regularly.
- Monitor engineering progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for the project.
- Provide technical support during construction, fabrication, and installation phases.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Conduct technical evaluations and reviews to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Marine, offshore Technology, or related field).
- Minimum of 10~15 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in project management, coordination, offshore execution or technical support within the oil and gas industry, particularly involving FPSO projects.
- Familiarity with FPSO systems, equipment, and design standards.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, etc.).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skil
