Position Overview:

Lead Structural Designer conducts Structure design and drafting under Principal/Lead Engineer or Principal Designer supervision mainly for Topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities.

The ideal candidate of the position will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry, be an expert in Topsides Structure Details (like connection details, weld details, Tertiary standards, etc.) and Hands-on experience in 3D modelling tools like AVEVA / E3D/ PDMS and 2D AutoCAD.

The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore/Korea and elsewhere as necessary including Conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED for projects in the offshore area in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Under Head of Discipline, Principal /Lead Structural Engineer, or Principal Designer's supervision.

• Lead Structural Design Team to deliver structural 2D drawings & 3D modelling.
• Conduct structure detailing, drafting & 3D modelling.
• Thorough understanding of connection details
• Develop Structure Design Database in Engineering Management Platform.
• Participate in 30%, 60%, 90% model review and comment closure.
• Review Vendor Documents – related to structure details required for development of drawings.
• Ensure As-Built Structural drawings & 3D model.
• mentor senior & junior designers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in the offshore or onshore oil and gas industry.
• Minimum   7 years’ experience at FPSO contractor or Offshore/Onshore EPC contractor.
• Minimum 1 FPSO / FLNG/ Offshore EPCI Project experience as a Structural Designer.
• Well Versed with Structure Design Tool such as AutoCAD, AVEVA / E3D/ PDMS.
• ITI/ Draftsmanship/ Diploma in engineering (preferably Civil) or Equivalent.
• Ability to work with and to communicate effectively with co-workers and manage multiple priorities.
• Good in English, with strong oral and written communication skills
