Position Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, review, and optimization of electrical systems for offshore and onshore plant projects. This role focuses on ensuring reliable power distribution, system integration, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The position contributes to successful project execution by delivering efficient and technically sound electrical solutions across all project phases.
The role supports reliable power, control, automation, and instrumentation solutions by coordinating design requirements, technical studies, system interfaces, and execution priorities across concept, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement support, and commissioning readiness. It is expected to maintain compliance with project standards and industry codes while ensuring that electrical and control system deliverables are integrated, safe, and operationally robust.
At this level, the role independently manages complex work packages, reviews deliverables, supports problem solving, and provides practical guidance to junior team members. The position is expected to bring stronger judgment on technical and execution matters, strengthen coordination efficiency, and improve delivery quality through hands-on project experience.
Key Responsibility
- Develop and review electrical system designs (LV/MV systems, power distribution)
- Prepare calculations, single line diagrams, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for system integration
- Participate in design reviews and support FAT/SAT activities
- Review vendor documents and technical submissions
- Ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements
- Identify and resolve technical issues and design risks
- Support engineering deliverables for FEED and detailed design phases
Qualification
- 7~15 years of experience in electrical engineering design
- Strong knowledge of power systems (LV/MV) and industrial electrical design
- Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE)
- Ability to perform complex engineering tasks independently
- Experience in EPC or plant project environments
- Offshore or FPSO project experience
- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering coordination
- Exposure to large-scale industrial or energy projects
