Position Overview
The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for leading engineering execution across assigned projects, work packages, or major engineering scopes, ensuring that multidisciplinary activities remain aligned with project requirements, contractual commitments, technical standards, and delivery priorities.
The role provides integrated engineering management across FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases by developing execution plans, managing engineering schedules and manpower, controlling technical interfaces, and ensuring that deliverables are completed in line with schedule, cost, quality, and governance expectations.
Operating with a high level of ownership, the position acts as a key engineering coordination lead between project management, engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, classification societies, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to support effective project delivery and timely issue resolution.
Key Responsibility
Engineering Execution Leadership
- Lead engineering execution for assigned projects and scopes across FEED and EPC phases.
- Ensure alignment with project strategy, contractual requirements, and technical standards.
- Drive disciplined execution across engineering disciplines.
Planning and Performance Management
- Develop engineering schedules and manpower plans aligned with project milestones.
- Monitor progress, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Provide performance visibility and support decision-making.
Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure integrated execution.
- Coordinate design inputs and outputs across disciplines.
- Lead engineering coordination meetings and issue resolution.
Interface and Stakeholder Management
- Interface with clients, vendors, and classification societies.
- Coordinate across project functions and global teams.
- Ensure timely communication and alignment on engineering matters.
Risk, Change, and Compliance
- Manage scope changes and lead DCF processes.
- Identify risks and ensure mitigation actions are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and governance.
Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Offshore, Process, Marine, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline

Typically 10–15 years of experience in offshore engineering, engineering coordination, or project engineering management within EPC, offshore, shipbuilding, energy, or large-scale industrial project environments

Experience as an EPM, engineering coordinator, lead engineer, package engineering lead, or equivalent engineering management role

Strong understanding of EPC project workflows, including FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover interfaces

Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering execution, deliverables, schedules, manpower plans, and technical interfaces

FPSO, offshore topside, floating production, or offshore facility project experience is strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of topside systems, offshore engineering interfaces, and multidisciplinary design integration

Experience coordinating with clients, classification societies, vendors, subcontractors, and global engineering teams

Solid understanding of engineering change control, Design Change Form processes, risk management, and technical governance

Strong leadership, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work effectively in complex, multicultural, and matrixed project environments
