Position Overview:

 

The GPO Planning Manager is responsible for leading workforce planning, resource capacity planning and process implementation initiatives across the Global Project Office (GPO). The role partners with Corporate, regional GPO teams, and functional stakeholders to drive effective resource allocation and assignments, portfolio execution, operational excellence, and organizational performance.

The position plays a key role in establishing planning frameworks, implementing standardized processes, enabling data-driven decision-making, and supporting strategic transformation initiatives across the organization.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Resource Capacity Planning (RCP) & Workforce Optimization

  • Lead the development and governance of the Resource Capacity Planning (RCP) process across the organization.
  • Drive alignment on demand forecasting, resource planning assumptions, and capacity utilization strategies.
  • Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and manpower optimization activities.
  • Lead the monthly Portfolio & Resource Allocation Board, including planning reviews and management recommendations.
  • Establish workforce analytics and reporting to support management decision-making and hiring strategies.
  • Drive the implementation and governance of Time Tracking processes and tools to improve resource visibility and portfolio performance.

 

Process Implementation & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the implementation of new Corporate initiatives, standards, and operating models within GPO.
  • Design and institutionalize standardized, scalable, and sustainable business processes across functions.
  • Drive process simplification, operational excellence, and governance improvements.
  • Ensure effective change management, stakeholder engagement, and adoption of new processes and systems.

 

Strategic Planning & Transformation

  • Support strategic workforce planning, organizational capability development, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Lead data-driven analysis and scenario planning to support organizational decision-making.
  • Champion digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled planning initiatives within GPO.
  • Manage special projects and strategic assignments as directed by senior management.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in workforce planning, project controls, PMO, portfolio management, operations planning, business transformation, or related functions.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational change.
  • Strong analytical, planning, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in resource planning, workforce analytics, project performance, and executive reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
