Position Overview:
- Acts as the Corporate Manager for Topside Process Engineering, overseeing global engineering resources and supporting all projects with resource planning, recruitment, and technical leadership

Leads the development and continuous improvement of corporate engineering standards, workflows, and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with lessons learned and project needs
- Provides strategic and hands-on expertise in Topside Process Engineering, with involvement across Conceptual, FEED, and EPCI phases of FPSO, FLNG, or offshore facilities. Collaborates with regional teams in Houston, Seoul, Amsterdam, and Singapore.
- May concurrently serve as Project Discipline Lead on key projects. Frequent international travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Head of Topside Engineering.
- Manage the Topside Process Engineering discipline and its global resources.
- Oversee project assignment and recruitment of Process Engineers/Designers in coordination with HR.
- Lead the development and maintenance of corporate technical standards, workflows, and engineering platforms (e.g., process data integration), reflecting lessons learned from past projects.
- Monitor project progress across feasibility, FEED, and EPCI phases and ensure appropriate resource allocation through close coordination with Project Management Teams.
- Establish and manage a Lessons Learned database for execution and O&M phases, promoting knowledge sharing and design standardization.
- Provide regular updates (e.g., weekly) on project status, manning plans, and key concerns to the Head of Topside Engineering.
- Represent the discipline in corporate meetings and communicate strategies and decisions to the process engineering team.
- Drive career development through planning, mentorship, and access to international training and conferences.
- Foster global collaboration with engineering offices in Houston, Seoul, Amsterdam, and elsewhere.
- May serve as Project Discipline Lead for major Topside Process projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 20 years of experience in offshore or onshore oil & gas projects, including a minimum of 10 consecutive years with a top-tier FPSO or EPC contractor.
- Proven experience in at least two FPSO EPCI projects, covering the full project lifecycle from engineering to sail-away or delivery.
- Demonstrated leadership as Project Lead in at least two Topside FEED or EPCI projects, including conceptual and feasibility phases.
- Strong hands-on background in FPSO/Offshore process engineering, covering simulation (steady-state and dynamic), heat & mass balance, utility consumption, blowdown and flarenet studies, hydraulic and line sizing, equipment sizing, control narratives, HAZOP, and technical safety action close-out.
- Field engineering or onshore/offshore commissioning experience is considered a plus.
- Knowledge or exposure to zero carbon emission and CCUS technologies is an advantage.
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Flarenet, Pipe-net, or equivalent, with the ability to interpret simulation results.
- Deep understanding of process engineering principles, industry standards, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Proven capability in managing a corporate engineering organization and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, vendors, and clients.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
