Resposibilities
- Support the development of corporate technical standards, procedures, and engineering workflows for Topside ICSS and Control, and assist the Head of Discipline in managing engineering activities.
- Maintain and update lessons learned databases across EPCI and O&M phases.
- Conduct conceptual and feasibility studies to develop optimal and competitive technical solutions, and provide technical input for proposals including manhour and cost estimates.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications, and that ICSS and Control designs are safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant.
- Act as a Discipline Lead or Advisor within project teams and serve as a key interface with clients and stakeholders.
- Manage interfaces with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective coordination and alignment across engineering activities.
- Support discipline team planning, including resource allocation and schedule control.
- Develop and review design philosophies, technical specifications, and engineering deliverables, including ICSS and Control studies and calculations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and key issues.
- Resolve technical issues during engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure the quality and consistency of engineering outputs.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, regulatory standards, and quality management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore/onshore oil & gas projects.
- At least 7 years with a leading FPSO or EPC contractor.
- Experience in at least one FPSO EPCI project from engineering through delivery.
- Experience as a Discipline Lead in at least one FPSO FEED or EPCI project, including conceptual and feasibility studies.
- Strong hands-on experience in ICSS and Control engineering, including design basis development, vendor coordination, and detailed engineering supervision.
- Field engineering or commissioning experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ICSS and Control engineering standards, systems, and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver in a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
