Position Overview:
The IT Helpdesk Support Engineer will provide first level IT support to all employees, administer and maintain IT systems including servers, laptops, printers, and network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain IT systems including servers, laptops, printers, and network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN)
- Provide 1st IT support for staff (Windows, Office365, engineering software)
- Set up new user accounts, devices, and access rights in accordance with company policy
- Monitor cybersecurity compliance and liaise with Group IT security teams
- Manage relationships with local IT vendors, telecom providers, and hardware suppliers
- Coordinate procurement and inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
- Act as local IT project coordinator during system upgrades, migrations, or office expansions
- Support international collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, remote access tools)
- Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues in coordination with global HQ
- Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and asset records
- Collaborate with the IT department of Hanwha Ocean HQ in Korea to ensure alignment of global IT standards
- Provide support for the setup and management of dedicated servers, domains, and local infrastructure as needed
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Computer / Info-Comm Technology or related
- At least 2-3 years of relevant working IT support experience supporting computer users
- Hands-on experience in supporting desktop/laptop hardware, network printer, Microsoft Windows, and standard software (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook client, Antivirus, Internet browser) and Computer setup, Microsoft Active directory, VPN setup/troubleshooting
- Good communicator with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment to engage and motivate team members
- Positive attitude and able to work well with culturally and geographically diverse teams
