Position Overview

Join a collaborative engineering team and gain hands-on experience supporting the design and development of instrumentation, control, and automation solutions for FPSO Topside, offshore, and energy projects. You will assist in preparing engineering deliverables, reviewing technical data, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and commissioning phases, while gaining insight into industry standards and project execution in a global EPCI(O) environment.

As an Instrumentation Engineering Intern, you will support engineering activities across the project lifecycle while developing practical knowledge of instrumentation and control systems used in major energy facilities. You will receive training and exposure across both instrumentation and control disciplines. Depending on project assignments, you may support Field Instrumentation or Control Systems workstreams, developing practical knowledge of field devices, instrument specifications, automation systems, control system architecture, and system interfaces. This internship will take place from January to May 2027.

What you will do

  • Learn and understand instrumentation and control engineering concepts and application in the execution of offshore oil and gas projects
  • Support preparation and review of instrumentation engineering deliverables such as datasheets, specifications, calculations and other technical documentation.
  • Support Field Instrumentation activities such as instrument selection, installation and hook-up drawings and vendor document reviews.
  • Support Control Systems activities such as preparation and review of control system architecture, I/O databases, system interfaces, and automation documentation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for interface alignment and technical issue resolution.
  • Participate in design reviews, model reviews, technical discussions, and engineering coordination activities as applicable.
  • Support engineering activities across concept, FEED and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) phases.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering with related subjects on instrumentation and control or a related engineering discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control systems and understanding of process control fundamentals. Ability to support engineering tasks under supervision.
  • Interest in FPSO topside, offshore, LNG, and energy transition projects preferred.
