Position Overview
Be part of exciting FPSO Topside, offshore, FLNG, and energy transition projects while gaining hands-on experience in process engineering. This internship offers exposure to real-world engineering challenges, multidisciplinary collaboration, project execution, and emerging technologies such as hydrogen, ammonia, and carbon capture, helping you build a strong foundation in process engineering and energy infrastructure development.
As a Process Engineering Intern, you will support process design activities including process design basis development, PFD/P&ID preparation, heat and material balances, process simulations, equipment process datasheets, safety reviews, and start-up/commissioning support. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain insight into how safe, efficient, and sustainable facilities are designed and delivered by integrating process requirements with equipment, piping, safety, control, and commissioning considerations throughout the project lifecycle. This internship will take place from January to May 2027.
What you will do
- Support process design basis, PFD/P&ID development, heat and material balance, process simulation inputs, equipment process datasheets, safety review inputs, and start-up/commissioning process support in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, class/regulatory expectations, international codes, and company standards.
- Assist in preparing, updating, checking, or coordinating engineering deliverables such as design basis documents, PFDs, P&IDs, HMBs, process simulations, equipment process datasheets, cause-and-effect inputs, HAZOP actions, and commissioning/start-up support notes to ensure accuracy, revision traceability, constructability, and timely issuance for project milestones.
- Support the definition and review of technical requirements, calculations, design basis assumptions, specifications, technical requisitions, vendor document comments, and technical queries.
- Coordinate interfaces with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural, safety, procurement, construction, commissioning, vendors, subcontractors, and fabrication yards to assist with multidisciplinary issues.
- Support design reviews, model reviews, layout reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP/HAZID inputs, and client/vendor comment close-out.
- Assist in identifying constructability concerns, interface gaps, material or vendor data risks, schedule impacts, and management-of-change items, and communicate mitigation actions clearly.
- Maintain engineering records, drawing/model data, review comments, calculations, registers, and as-built information in accordance with document control and quality procedures.
- Learn project procedures, discipline standards, modeling practices, safety requirements, and document control processes while seeking timely guidance from senior staff.
Qualification
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Basic understanding of process engineering fundamentals
- Interest in FPSO topside, offshore, LNG, and energy transition projects preferred.
