Role Overview:

The Senior Piping Engineer serves as the technical and project lead for all piping engineering activities related to Topside facilities in FPSO, FLNG, and Offshore environments. You will provide the "strategic focus" necessary to navigate complex lifecycle phases from Conceptual and Feasibility studies to FEED and EPCI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain corporate technical standards, workflows, and engineering platforms (including data integration) to ensure they remain practical and "fit for purpose."
• Incorporate project "Lesson Learnts" into updated EPCI and O&M databases.
• Assist the Head of Discipline in managing the corporate structure and providing strategic technical focus for global engineering teams.
• Actively mentor junior and intermediate engineers to build discipline capability.
• Conduct feasibility and conceptual studies to propose optimal and competitive technical solutions.
• Provide engineering expertise for bid proposals, including man-hour and cost estimation.
• Ensure all piping and utility systems are efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant.
• Validate design codes, standards, and client specifications during the inception phase.
• Serve as the focal point for Topside Piping within the project team; manage internal/external interfaces and lead communication with clients.
• Conduct rigorous quality assurance on all deliverables, including Piping Layouts, Pipe Routing, Stress Analysis, and Material Specifications.
• Manage the project discipline team, including manning levels and schedule control.
• Close out recommendations from HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and 3D Model reviews.
• Oversee specialized 3rd-party studies (e.g., FIV/AIV) and supervise sub-contractor design quality.
• Provide engineering expertise for construction and commissioning teams to resolve real-time piping issues.
• Implement "Management of Change" (MOC) protocols to ensure as-built deliverables are accurate.
• Conduct troubleshooting and facility modification/revamp studies to support ongoing operations and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Piping or relevant Engineering
• Minimum 10 years experience in the offshore or onshore oil and gas industry
• Minimum 1 FPSO EPCI Project experience from the begining of project (engineering) until the sail-away to site or delivery of FPSO
• Hands-on Field Engineering in Construction phase is preferred
• Well Versed with Piping Engineering Tool such as CEASER II
• Extensive knowledge of Piping engineering practices, principles, industry codes and standards - as well as an understanding of scientific methods of problem-solving.
