Position Overview

 

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent within the offshore and oil & gas industry. You will be responsible for all aspects of recruitment, compensation and benefits market trend research, pay-band re-structuring, and maintaining a deep understanding of the offshore and oil & gas industry landscape. This role blends strategic recruitment, market insight, and hands-on execution, from talent strategy to onboarding, while navigating Singapore’s local employment landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet current and future hiring needs across engineering and corporate functions.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle: job postings, sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, assessments, offer management, and contract preparation.
  • Leverage multiple sourcing channels (databases, job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, industry networks, events) to identify and engage high-caliber candidates.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to align recruitment with business needs and provide talent market insights.
  • Maintain a proactive pipeline of candidates for critical and hard-to-fill roles
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and positive experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Guide candidates through each stage, from initial conversation to onboarding.
  • Stay updated on Singapore’s employment laws, MOM regulations, and work pass application processes to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct compensation and benefits market research to provide benchmarking insights for competitive offers.
  • Monitor trends within the offshore, oil & gas, and engineering talent markets to anticipate evolving hiring needs.
  • Support onboarding activities, ensuring new hires have a seamless start and integration into the company.
  • Partner with HR to contribute to employer branding initiatives that position Hanwha Ocean as an employer of choice in Singapore.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of talent acquisition/recruitment experience, preferably within EPC, oil & gas, engineering, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore’s employment regulations and hands-on experience with work pass applications.
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruitment and build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
